Hi all,

As beautiful I think the SA Sportabzeichen/Wehrabzeichen is, we mustn't forget about another Auszeichnung; that of the DRL? These dont look bad either for sure! Im very happy to show the Reichssportabzeichen in bronze.

I have here 3 forms of the bronze? 1 Aufnäher, 1 Miniatur Abzeichen + 1 Regulieres Abzeichen. Was a winner allowed to wear all 3 forms? Did he/she just got 1 of those? Or could a winner just buy any form he/she wanted?

The Miniatur, is VERY beautiful detailed! There's a makermark, I tried to grab that, but, the cam doesnt want to, or I dont know how to make it to It says "Wernstein Jena".

The Regulieres Abzeichen has stuff at the back too; "Ferd.Wagner", maker, short for Ferdinand Wagner in Pforzheim. Wagner was a Hersteller for SS things too, I founf that the firm had RZM SS numbers. There is "D.R.G.M." and a number too on this Abzeichen; 35269. These are kinda like patentnumbers? Anyway, this bronze 1 is made of bronziertes Buntmetall.

The gewebte Aufnäher has no maker, no number, no tags, no labels. Its nice though! Metallic'ish thread? Do any of you have a pic of some1 wearing such an Aufnäher? This 1 is square, was it cut out? Or folded? When sown on? Or ... how was this worn? And where?

I hope y'all like these pics as much as I liked making them. Shoot more DRL badges here if you want please! I somehow always overlooked these? But they are very nice!

Enjoy,
Karin-Renate

Hi Adam,

THANKS for that compliment! Sometimes it works out a little better, yes. Its fun doing just a little bit more with pics? AND it gives the alibi to get nerdy + freak out with interesting items, SO, How cool is THAT?! *LOL* But, ya have to make do with what you have, so, somtimes its harder to make a nice display, or to find a good way to show the items. Im having luck with the window shutters being repainted. The unrepainted 1s make sweet backgrounds

Actually, Ricardo gave new inspiration! But, weve had VERY heavy rain here? And all roses, and flowers are gone, destroyed by rain and wind, even a bit of hail? I use flowers that were saved by bringing inside. The other flowers and plants will return ofcourse, but, again, make do with what you have.

Anyhow, rambling on, sorry. Thanks again for the compliment Adam

Sincerely,
Karin-Renate

K, To my knowledge the cloth patch was for the sports uniform, the miniature was for the civil jacket. Full size being worn on the uniform. Some period in wear pictures would be nice. I'm sure there were variations from official regulations.

I can share my silver and bronze miniatures.
Too small for much background work so I opted for a blinding color. smile

Silver is by: Wernstein Jena
Bronze is by: Lauer Nürnberg Berlin

Obverse.

Thanks Erich Thats sweet to say! There are some people here that share my gender, Im told. Maybe they're older+wiser, unlike me *LOL*, or maybe they're smarter, using a genderless ID? 'Cause, I assure y'all, it has disadvantages, sadly enough. Im trying to be better at those + recognizing those though

Cool! Is she here? And, what do militaria teachers do? Is that regular school?

Anyway, Im not the 1st, I think, yes, more would be nice. But, maybe, y'd need to be a bit mental to like shiny stabbing devices as a girl? But seriously, I dunno, there MUST be more out there. There's 1 co-lady over at WAF I know of. But, perhaps, its eazier to lay low as a girl? I dunno, we're wired differently from you guys *LOL* Food for thought though. Lets get T-Shirts made! "reward; shiny stabbing device, 1 for each female member you find". Might work?

Sincerely,
Karin-Renate

NICE miniatures Joe! You even grabbed the makermark, small as it is! Cool That must've taken some time to get right!

Hi Karin,

Unfortanelly, I think she is not here in this forum, but occasionally you can meet her at WAF or U.S.Militaria Forum. But more frequently she participate at our brazilian militaria forum OMMB . She is specialist in brazilian WWII stuff too.

She is not a formal "militaria teacher", but I refer too her as a teacher because when we have doubts about US medals, badges or other uniform stuff we appeal to her knowledge.

She is in fact a historian with great interest in WWII era and a militaria collector. She also maintains the webpage Memórias do Front (Front Memories) with some stuff about WWII, principally about brazilian participation at italian front.

Ricardo

Thats awesome! So, its NOT the lady I know is on WAF, so theres 2 already now! See? Im sure there are more. Ha! Thats good to know Some time ago, I was told about a collectress of firearms, japanese stuff, like the Lugers, but different? She is GREAT! I dont know if I can post the link to her site here though? PM me if you wanna know.

OK, maybe too childish for y'all? But, Cesar Millan, he's on like 12 times a week if not more, on National Geographic? And I love that guy! I love doggies, and he's just great with 'em! So, I came across THIS in an old show, it links to this chatter a bit, maybe? I tried to grab that part for you to see. Its here. I hope it plays for you as well as it does for me? The point; EVERYTHING + ANYONE is different from women *LOL* ALL is dominant, but women give affection before anything else. Not sure if its a good thing? But anyway, just something about being wired. YES! We are! *ROFL*

Thanks for the links! Spanish? Nice! Maybe Ill try to see if I can make anything of it. But, I guess, Im still working too much on french + german to add to my abilities. So, Im going WAY off-topic, penalty points for me again, any DRL-stuff anyone?

Sincerely,
Karin-Renate

I'm not a firearm collector but I think you're talking about the Nambu pistol.

The language is brazilian-portuguese, but at the OMMB forum there is a International Section where you can talk with us in english language.

Very lovely links Karin.
