Hi Vern.
This HJ knife is original?
Why such big gap between a handle and a blade?
Thanks.

The knife is original and belongs to Ron Weinand. Gap is probably due to age shrinkage of the leather buffer pad.

Ron,

What a beauty, congratulations!

I believe that WKC must have invented the bowie blade: here is one with the very early mark.

Best greetings,

Herman

The washer is actually UNDER the base of the blade between the crossguard and covers some of the TM. This is the second one I have had from a motel buy and the other one had no TM showing above the washer.
