Werkschutz firemen were private firefighters. That is to say they were paid by the company and were not public government employees like the Feuerschutzpolizei. Many Werkschutz were more like "Public Safety" personnel having been trained in both security and fire fighting protocols.
Here is a cuffband for personnel who were specifically company firemen.

And, here are a couple more Werkschutz cuff titles. The red one has not been folded over and sewn on while the green one has been cut off a uniform.

Here's a photo of a group of factory guards, who have an interesting assemblage of collar tabs, side caps and armbands.
Of interest is the Sachsen 'triangle' patch, which Gary posted, and is shown in the collage of this photo. ...Txs, Dave/dblmed

This one is the same Dresden maker & markings, but without an 'ID' number to it. (Perhaps it was unissued.) Nice to see that the other details are the same. ... Txs, Dave/dblmed

Dave/dblmed, excellent photo! Lots of insignia and a rather broad stroke of ages appear in that one group.
For some odd reason, I alos find those little Werkschutz gorgets rather appealing.
Thanks for posting the great photos!

I just wonder if the tunics , armbands , collartabs ,etc. shown in the great and rare photo were unique to the state of 'Sachsen' only . Also ,the overseas caps have no insignia on them , except for the ' korkade '.

Bernd,
I suspect you are right. I think most of these Werkschutz uniforms were unique to the individual company with general similarities. Here is the "standard" Werkschutz summer tunic in salt and pepper grey. This one is for an officer.

George : Nice tunic ! Is the shoulder board like a Police Lt. board ? Looks like grass-green underlayment .

Bernd,
The shoulderboards are made in the same style/manner as police boards but they are more narrow. This fellow is a Leutnant.

And, here is a closeup of the Werkschutz Officer sleeve patch. You can clearly see the salt & pepper cloth.

The backside of the collar tab shows the material backing for the bullion stitching work .
