That is a fabulous collection.

I like those political leader overseas caps. You do not see many of those, especially the piped ones.

Hello,

It's the only one I have, not in very good condition and only "Orts" level, but i'm proud of it.

Very nice rare hat. Although a condition freak myself, I do like them when they have that "lived in" look.

The white Borman is superb!

As you know I wonder if these whites were
the lost ones from pics in scrapbook.

I will never forget when vet pulled that
other Borman tunic out many years ago,
with the scrapbook!

Paul-
The Borman tunic is one of two white single breasted tunics recently sourced from the veteran who brought them back. The two tunics are well documented with photographs of the Warrant Officer who brought them back. They were discovered several years ago when the owner contacted the Smithsonian Institute to see if they would be interested in buying two of "Hitler's" tunics. The Smithsonian declined and they were eventually sold to a kinown dealer in high end 3rd Reich Militaria. The gentleman had always thought they were Hitler's as he found them on the floor in the cellar of the Berghof. A more likely scenario is that some soldiers had looted Borman's house and carried the tunics with them to the Berghof. Likely they found better items to take, such as AH silverware and abandoned the tunics on the floor. The two tunics were made by the same tailor who made the double breasted tunic you located many years ago. There is a tailor's label in the inside pocket with the name "Reichsleiter Borman." I am sure that a man of Borman's position had many uniforms at his house neaar Bertschesgarten. There may be more awaiting a lucky collector somewhere.

This named set was first sold also by Berg to others, and Bob was able to bring them back together.
