Someone tried to sell one last week on eban but didn't get any bids. I may bid on it just to see what a repro looks like. I can't believe they will get much since an unmarked orginal still goes pretty cheap.

I still can't believe there's enough money in it to reproduce unmarked fire bayonets. From a distance they look pretty good but I bet there's a number of subtle difference up close, weight being one. I believe they're coming out of China.

Don't bid, don't buy. You will be supporting the making of fakes. Next generarion will be better... Henrik

China made repros have not yet reach this kind of quality, possibly made in India / Pakistan. This said, the repro in question looks good to me ! Keith

I can say with certainty there are examples of Fire Department bayonet etches that are quite suspicious.
