Of course you're right Jim, but taken in that context, it's still fun to go and look!

Is that a factory color & paintjob on your Thunderbird? If so, I'll stop by my local dealer & buy a gallon. I have a '59 El Camino that I hope to live long enough to finish and your paint might be the color I'm looking for. I'm not doing mine stock. I'm doing it the way I would have back in the 60's.

This is not my car but one exactly like the 1969 Plymouth GTX I bought new back in 1969: 440, automatic, ice blue with black interior... oh yea, and fast. Big Grin

Well I'm looking for another one. So if anyone knows of one that is available at a price I can afford, please let me know.

GTX... that's short for Adios! Big Grin Big Grin

Just saw an orange one Bernie. Didn't look too close, and no for sale sign: but I can ask when I go back to get my car......We took some of my parents' old slides in for conversion, and got a few good vintage views of the old Dodge.

Very interesting topic.

Personaly I have the same preferences about cars as I have about daggers: German made only and if possible in mint condition. Cool

Scott, that's a beauty Cool. While my main interest in cars are musclecars I have a soft spot for TR-6's. Back in 1981 my cousin taught me how to drive a stick on his TR-6.

Thanks Ray!
That was a hard car to learn on with a super heavy clutch! After the 6, every clutch must have felt like butter.
I like Muscle Cars as well, but like them to go round the corners also. Have been pondering a Superformance Cobra - as the best of both worlds, but just can't bring myself to part with the TR6.

Ron, as for the Z06, I couldn't agree more. Just wish I had an extra $70K or so laying around for fun money so I could buy one.

Hey scott. If it were BRG I would feel for ya. Otherwise dump it to a brit and get the superformane far better than the ffr version.
Incedentaly I did not mean to gin up my credentials here.
Cj powered I should have said( i was on a high) Shelbys (2) torinos (5) 1 of which was the actual Cobra ( that someone told me sell for $ 100,000 now)darn at least I still have the original key fob : ) nothing with a csx prefix : ( though.
Just do it!
I know a guy that settled for an austin healy instead. As they say . "there's an ass for every seat."
So I am getting out of mine now.
Ciao
