Nobody has a clue? If it's a fake and you don't want to disclose certain details to the people who make these things, I would appeciate a PM.

Be patient. Not a lot of collectors know that much about those daggers.
I have had some answers on another forum that I posted this dagger. It's a fake. I'm just a little disappointed that no one on this forum was willing to help me out. Especially the hanger and portepee look very convincing to me.

I saw your post on WAF and responded there. Many of the people who responded are also members here and, like me, probably thought that saying the same thing twice was a bit redundant.

Hello the dagger is not a high end fake. When compared side by side to a known original it falls terribly short. As a "stand alone" to an inexperienced collector it may display quality but it does not have the quality of construction to known originals It appears crude and cast and lacks precision. The scabbard is more akin to a second pattern Luft in materials than a high end Alcosso diplomatic dagger. Happy Father's day cheers Ryan
