The photos that I post now seem to be expanded and enlarged. This seems to be a new occurrence. I noticed this with other sellers photos as well.

Now you do not only have to reduce the file size to 123KB but the image size as well to 640x480px as well.

This makes posting photos more tedious.

Most other sites accept a larger file size and some sites do not require any reduction.

Can this be changed to allow for easier posts of photos?

Thanks.

Not sure why you say the photos must be 640x480. Your tinny photo is 2592x1944 but is automatically scaled down to fit the screen. The only limit we have is file size set at 125Kb.

Which photo/s are you referring to Vern? I have several photos posted. Some, but not all of which have been modified in size by me.
Please, look at the individual photos of the tinnies that I posted. They are huge. This is the same file size that I have used in the past that were the same size and they appear very large..."blown up" if you will.

Something has changed on this site regarding photos.

If other members have experienced this...please chime in.

Vern,
Please look at the first post of the Gautag Stuttgart 1937 post.
I had to change the size of the photos in the second post to 640x480px for the pic to not look "too large or overblown".

It's not a big deal as it's no problem for me to downsize the photos to 640x480. I'm only saying that I never had to shrink the photo size to 640x480pixels.

Looks like most members photos are ok except for WWII collector whose photos also look large or blown up.

Again, I can work with this arrangement I was just wondering what changed.

Thanks for your time Vern.

Your first 2 photos are 2592x1944 and 2232x1944. They were automatically resized to fit the forum's 1250 pixel display width. As long as the photo is under 125Kb, the actual display size doesn't matter. Photos wider than 1250 are reduced for display. Photos smaller than 1250 are displayed as loaded. I typically load photos set to 800-1200 pixel width. Most resizer programs play with photo size to reduce file size, but you can get good results by lowering the file resolution. Most cameras will default to high resolution, but that is normally not needed for closeup photos. You can change the resolution setting on your camera and really reduce your photo file sizes.

Thanks Vern. I'll try playing around with the settings on my camera.

You can delete this thread if you like since it's in the "For Sale" section.

Thanks again.

I wish you a Very Happy 4th of July Holiday.
