Hi,
My father has been a collector for many years (over 40) and is pretty good with the internet. When I saw him today we talked about a dagger he has been trying to get information about.
If anyone can comment on this further in regards to seeing one before, rarity, value etc. it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Description from my father below:
german outstanding quality Hirschfaenger Presentation Dagger by Luneschloss - Solingen. Damascus steel blade of highest quality, gold inlay and fire gilt deerhead mountings with swastika. Inscription presented to his dear friend Van Carlshausen and in Gold Hermann Gorings signature. Top quality item and work virtually impossible to find a tradesman to do this quality hand work these days. Handle has original silver Nazi Hunting Association badge fitted to it.

Yes, a copy based on copies of the 60s. Unfortunately. "Damascus" is etched. I have not seen the PDL yet

You're welcome, Panzer! I meant that fakes of this type with TM "PDL" have not yet met, most were CE, ACS, WKC...

Thanks all for your help.
My father still thinks this could be a real piece from the war (he has owned this for some 15 years).
Cheers
