Hello Blondin, when I first saw your post I did want to look at and answer but then unfortunately I got distracted...
When I saw your thread again you wrote that you found your answer yourself so I thought there would be no additional answer necessary as you have been right:
The blade seems to be etched damast and an old, well known fake. Moreover the eagle s gilding clearly has been badly improved with improper gilt laquer, the same I think is valid for the pommel swaz.
For sure something an honest collector would not want in his collection.
Regards,

Hello, thank you.
I thought not wrong when I wrote her.
I am just amazed to not have explanations on this fake.
I think of a young collectors who could easily do this have.
Nothing wrong and still thank you.
