Hey guys, after a lot of research and reading everything I could possibly get my hands on when it comes to these, I decided to buy my first badge. This is a Deumer (sp?) Luftwaffe Pilot's badge. Before I bought this badge, I compared with what pics of other Deumers I could find, I am 95% sure it's ok...I have 7 days from today to return...so I need your expertise on this...I think it's good, but please, give your opinions...it wont hurt my feelings. Thanks in advance.

I had only a short time period to look at Deumer examples. To my eyes it did not match up. I hope you get more input from others.
The close up of the eagle and the reverse images you should compare in particular to other known originals to be sure.
The hand enhancing on this example I did not note on any examples I saw. Hand enhancing is not unknown. I just did not observe any.

There are early Deumers this is not an example of those. There are Deumers with Deumer parts and there are Deumers with Juncker parts. Which do you think your example is supposed to be? Did not go into thick or thin wreaths.

Thanks Joe...I have a suspicion that was is a pieced together deumer/juncker...can I confirm that? no. Also, look at the spacing between the bottom of the Swaz and lower part of the wreath, there is a quite a gap as compared to other badges of any maker. Too many questions popping up, I think I will try to get my money back. Thanks Joe

PS..I'm sticking with daggers/swords..no more badges for me.

Let us know if you decide to add badges in the future.
A few blades can always enhance a badge collection. smile
