Paul Weyersberg and E. & F. Horster Luftwaffe swords. Horster is signal school marked. and has signals shoulder boards (still need a match pair of signals collars!)
Hello, Just want to share this HJ Fahrtenmesser, Doppelhersteller, M38 RZM, Klittermann&Moog, not a mint one as it seems to have been worn a lot, but I like the double trade mark. Thanks for looking Regards
After a bit of searching, I found a boxed, marked 15 Year example on eMedals. The suspension ring is marked "2" and the box is marked "M1/170". Putting "M11/" in front of the "2" means both numbers are assigned to B. H. Mayers. Learn something new every day
There are few posts on the forum about these ring patterns. For more information use ‘Wir fahren’ in the Search function.
"Wir fahren gegen Engelland" is the title of ‘Matrosenlied’ (Sailors’ Song), a WW1 German Navy song that was also popular in WW2. I posted a period postcard with the lyrics.
This ring is the classic pattern. On both sides are a torpedo amid the waves. The cartouche shows a battleship with three fighter aircraft in the sky above. It is brass and retains most of the silver wash. There was often a black paint finish, and what remains is also seen on this one. The rear is marked "GES. GESCH. Nr. 866 C.M.O.", indicating that the design was legally protected. These rings were introduced around the time of The Battle of Britain. That didn’t go well for the Nazis and the rings subsequently fell out of favour.
I have a silver version of this ring too. It may be a postwar copy; they weren’t available in silver. For comparison, you can see the two side by side.
P.s. I’m not sure why ‘England’ is spelled like this. It’s the same spelling in German. My guess is that it is phonetic and rhythmically how the song is sung… with three syllables in ‘ENG-(EL)-LAND’. You can listen to the song here.
Can not cite a period source. I claim no depth of knowledge in political awards, Just reporting what more knowledgeable collectors than myself have been putting forth. Where did the M11 Codes and Assignee list that you have posted in the above link source from?
From all I have read M11 codes are for NSDAP full size L.S. awards/medals and M12 codes are for NSDAP miniature L.S. awards/medals.
Since the rings are so small my best guess is that they left off the RZM M11/ and just stamped the assignee number.
For the NSDAP medals you need the M11 RZM Codes. 10 would be - Deschler & Sohn, Mnchen 21 would be - Josef Rillebrand, Gablonz
The RZM codes can be somewhat confusing. If you wish post images of your awards. Welcome to the forum.

Just have a quick question. My reading of the regs is that the RZM codes must have the RZM symbol and category code along with the manufacturer number, just like the LDO codes must be proceded by "L". Can you point me to the source that identifies these numbers as RZM codes?
As mentioned, I don't know a great deal about SSHRs, but this one is a beauty. Personally, I believe that the comments you have received here and on the WRF should suffice as pretty strong confirmation of your ring's authenticity.
As I understand, so-called 'Certificates of Authenticity' from certain individuals are no longer worth the paper they are written on. My advice is, don't waste your money paying for a dubious piece of paper that you don't need. Stephen
All good advice. Auctions are fine but as G said, they take a chunk for commission. Of course they do the leg work. You have the info yourself and you can always list here on the forum as the ring has been established. As said don't be in a rush and get all your info/pics into an organized manner and you should have no problem getting a buyer. Good luck. Ron
Outstanding ring congratulations with an accepted COA your ring is valued between $15,000 and $20,000 in the current market IMO good luck regards and best, Ryan
The market on them is always unstable.. There are times they are very high,,and times collectors won't touch them unless they are very cheap.. That is a nice ring,,and not a cheap one!
Do yourself a big favor. - Don't be in a rush... Check , search around and see what they are going for.. Then you have choices of selling only there in the UK,,or the US and other places.
There is the auction route also but don't forget you pay a commission maybe 20% + or -.... Take your time with this one! and thanks for showing it here...,G.
